Tanglin Trust School listed as Singapore's top 10 most attractive employers by The Straits Times and Statista
Posted on 20th Apr 2022 in School News, SingaporeAward-winning Tanglin Trust School is pleased to share that it has been listed as one of Singapore's Best Employers 2022, a ranking of the top 200 companies and institutions with at least 200 employees. Tanglin came in the Top 10 and also topped the education category nationwide. This study was released today by The Straits Times and global data firm Statista.
In the independent survey, respondents were asked to rate their employers based on various aspects of their job, the work environment and the employer's reputation. Tanglin has been ranked eighth overall.
Across six areas considered, atmosphere at work and potential for development contributed the most to employers' scores. The other five aspects were image, working conditions, workplace, salary or wage, and diversity.
Craig Considine, CEO, Tanglin Trust School said: “At Tanglin we always have the best interests of our staff at the forefront of our mind when formulating or making changes to staff policies. Staff will perform at their best when they feel valued and supported and we try hard to ensure that this is always the case. We actively seek feedback from our staff on current policies and implement changes where needed. We have support groups set up around certain initiatives – mental health, maternity, diversity and inclusion, menopause, etc – and these are great vehicles for initiating conversations and understanding what works well and what could be improved upon.”
Tanglin, a not-for-profit international school, has 300 foreign staff – a little over half of all employees, and the average staff tenure is 8.6 years.
