Carlsbad International School offers intensive language skills programme pre-IB

Carlsbad International School in the Czech Republic has announced details of an English language skills course designed for students before they take the IB.

"Are you ready to start your IB Diploma programme, a challenging and highly demanding international high school programme taught exclusively in English? Do you have doubts if you can understand the English instructions?

At CIS we offer you a great opportunity to improve your English language skills in our intensive English language programme before. There is surely more to learning English grammar, speaking, reading and writing in the classroom. 

"During your one-semester or one-year intensive language course, you will immerse in the English environment in our international community every day. You can boost your language confidence in communicating with new friends from over 30 nationalities and our English-speaking staff. Simply practise in the dorms, in the school restaurant or during your field trips. You can also combine your intensive English course with our special sport programmes (tennis, triathlon and golf).

"The application process includes the following stages:

1. Fill in the online application form

2. Provide supplementary documents (school transcripts from the past two school years, letters of recommendation compiled by your English and Math teachers)

3. Pay EUR 200 application fee

4. Complete an online English assessment

5. Take an interview (in person or via skype)
