Kensington School is a British co-educational school for children aged 18 months to 18 years old. With our native British teachers and British curriculum, our education has been modelled in the image of the UK's education system.
Our school is a member of Inspired Education, the leading global premium group of schools that offer excellence in education to over 85,000 students worldwide. From exchange programmes to exclusive camps, to leadership conferences and shared learning experiences, Inspired offers a range of enriching global opportunities which give students a chance to travel, meet peers from other countries and become a part of a vibrant international community.
We aim to offer our students an excellent and well-rounded education, so that they leave our school as knowledgeable and socially conscious young adults. Our emphasis on multilingualism means that our students should graduate fluent in English, Spanish and French.
At our school students in Year 10 and 11 can opt to study principally either in English or Spanish; the students who opt for English will take the IGCSEs, internationally recognised qualifications, while alternatively they can opt to take 3º and 4º of ESO, the official Spanish curriculum, with reinforced studies in English and French.
During the last two years of school, we offer a choice between the International Baccalaureate Diploma programme, the internationally-recognised programme offered in English or the "Kensington Baccalaureate" in Spanish, with intensive emphasis on language reinforcement and a special preparation for the official University Entrance Exams (EvAU).
Pupils at Kensington achieve outstanding results in external examinations thanks to our system of individually tracking students' progress, needs and achievement; In the EvAU exam results of 2024, 32% of our students achieved a 12 or higher.
Our school values sport and the arts as key components of school life. We offer extracurriculars in music, art, and drama as well as all kinds of sports. Examples include judo, cookery class, music lessons and public speaking: the range of clubs on offer is extremely wide. With something for everyone, students are bound to find something that they enjoy. Through joining these clubs children can get the most out of their time and profit from forging new friendships built on shared interests and developing new skills and hobbies.
