The education the school offers is high quality and individualised, with dedicated attention for each student. They aim to develop each child's full academic and personal potential and encourage their students to be curious, creative, self-disciplined and independent.

Our facilities
The school is located in the beautiful city of A Coruña, 10 minutes from the city centre with easy access by car. The school buildings and facilities are modern and designed with children in mind. In September 2025, the school is moving to its new, purpose-built campus in Culleredo in order to continue offering the best facilities as the school grows. This new campus contemplates warm, open and interconnected spaces that facilitate active learning and contribute to the development of the skills necessary to face the challenges of the 21st century.
Students as individuals
Educational achievement is key to school philosophy, but they think beyond pure academic success. The English National Curriculum encourages students to explore the world around them, be curious about how things work, ask questions, apply critical thinking skills, and respect fellow students and teachers alike. Teamwork and communication skills form a key foundation to all their educational programmes. Additionally, all students are encouraged to become socially, ethically and environmentally aware.
The school aims to prepare students for life after school, teaching them skills that will help them to succeed in secondary school, further education and the workplace. Learning experiences also take place outside the classroom; assemblies, cultural events and fun educational trips provide further opportunities to learn and develop.
More than just a school
Life at Coruña British International School is not always about lessons. They have more than 30 extra-curricular activities to choose, exchanges and a full programme of international events with other Globeducate schools. They also encourage learning outside the classrooms through a unique Outdoor Learning programme, "The Journey", and rely on a House System to foster collaboration between pupils of different ages, team spirit, leadership skills and a sense of pride in belonging to a strong and committed community.
