The Canadian School of Florence, formerly Blyth Academy of Florence, is a co-educational private international school for children aged 3 to 18 years. The school opened its first campus in Florence in 2017 with the Senior School (Grades 9 to 12), followed in 2021 by the Kindergarten (Pre-K to Senior-K) and Elementary School (Grades 1 to 5), and later in 2022 by the Middle School (Grades 6 to 8), all based in Fiesole, less than 2km from the Senior campus.
The Senior School follows the Canadian Ontario curriculum combined with other international educational best practices and standards to help prepare students for admission to the most prestigious universities all over the world. The campus hosts a unique mix of international students and local Italian students, and its small class size strengthens the inclusive approach to education, allowing each student to develop their sense of excellence, trust, integrity, fairness, and compassion.
At our Junior and Middle Schools, our educators teach the globally-recognized Canadian Ontario curriculum, combining it with the Italian paritaria program, and at the Kindergarten, with the Reggio Emilia approach.
The Canadian School of Florence fosters an inclusive and nurturing environment, celebrating diversity and inspiring personal growth, enabling students to unlock their true potential and positively shape the world.
Teachers provide personalized teaching and individual care together with empathetic engagement, hands-on experiential teaching that enables curiosity, creativity, and innovative thinking.
Students enjoy engaging field trips and excursions to enhance curriculum outside the classroom, thanks to our membership in the Globeducate network.
Globeducate is one of the leading international K12 education groups in the world, a network of 60+ premium bilingual and international schools, as well as online programmes, educating 40,000 students in 11 countries.
A Globeducate school creates opportunities to connect with students from other schools across the world, to come together, in person or online, for sport, music, arts, academic challenges and to work with others to help build a more equal, fair and sustainable world.
